My girlfriend just did the 5 day microblading and nanoblading course and also the eyeliner & lipliner course. I was really worried because I lent her the money so wanted to make sure she had the best course. She loved it! She was given 2 models on the first course and 2 on the second course and she said she would go back to do more courses. They have just moved into a new premise so it was so big, bright lights, wooden floors and I would highly recomend! Jess was amazing the whole way through I even got lost dropping her and I had arranged it for my gf through Jess – the teachers Taz, Tina and Jane were brilliant too! Dont listen to others – I nearly did and I am glad I went with them in the end 🙂
Before starting the course, I was very apprehensive as I felt that some of the older, negative reviews made me feel like maybe I wouldn’t get the training I needed. I’m happy to say that I LOVED my training. To note — I have given 4 out of 5 stars only because I did feel like I didn’t get the information I was looking for BEFORE the course. But after the training we were able to give feedback, where I got to be very honest and open, and I felt like my comments and opinions were appreciated and taken in.
I was part of a group of 4 people, the first day we had an additional person join who had attended a training course a year previously but wanted to refresh her knowledge as she hadn’t been offering Microblading as a service because of work constraints. This was no issue, as we went through a lot of theory before we began working on strokes and mapping – colour theory, health and safety, contraindications and contra-actions, consultation etc. We asked a lot of questions and didn’t feel like there was anything that our trainer (originally supposed to be Ana, but she was ill and Kim filled in) wasn’t aware of.
We then moved on to practicing strokes and blading on fake skin, and the course finished around 5:45pm, so we had a good full day of training. We were then given our kits to take home and practice some more, and a small test to go through our knowledge. The next day we went straight into working on models, going through the set up and prep. Kim started my first eyebrow off for me, but I was given a lot of space to go through myself. We had an additional trainer with us to make sure that everyone had the support they needed, which meant that we were able to ask questions and check our work. By the time I got to my second model I was feeling confident and comfortable enough to go through the process on my own and only call on the trainers when I wanted to sense check what I was doing. Both my models were very happy with my work, and I was able to add them to my professional Instagram to build my clientbase.
I left LVC feeling very confident in my abilities, and happy with the support I had from the staff. I know I can go back at any time to practice, train a little more, or even WhatsApp the trainers for advice. I have no doubts that I will be back to train in ombre, powder, and machine nanoblading at a later date. I would say that if you don’t feel like you’re understanding the theory, you should say straight away — don’t be afraid of sounding stupid because this is your career. You need to understand. If you don’t feel comfortable on confident with working on a live model, tell your trainer and she will work with you to help you refine your work, and if she has to do the client herself, she will, but you will be able to watch and ask questions. DO NOT rush through this because it’s a two day intensive course — you can take the time, the support is included in your fee. If you’re considering Microblading, read up on theory, know your stroke patterns and brow shapes, and try and get as much information as you can.
